Push locally-created folders to IMAP server?

Hey, is there any way to push locally-created maildir folders up to the
imap server? They don't seem to get created on the server, and when I
manually created the empty folder on the server then offlineimap tried
to create the folder locally but stopped with an error saying the folder
already exists.

I have offlineimap 6.5.4
