client side filtering of spam when getting mail through offlineimap

Hello,

I use offlineimap to synchronize my local mailboxes with my work mail
server. The latter having a fairly poor spam filter, I would like to run
a filter locally. Unfortunately I could not find an howto explaining how
to install such a filter (using for instance dspam or spamassassin).

If it helps, offlineimap accesses the mail locally through dovecot.
