+1 !
I'm all in !
What will be the student's goals ?
I feel the biggest pain in OpenStack currently is:
+documentation and QA (both official "openstack-manuals" and the
Debian HOW-TO, and the man pages)
(I fixed several bugs in Debian HOW-TO and sent 2 patches vs. official
"openstack-manuals", and opened 6 more bugs upstream, but there is
much more work to be done.)
Advantages:
If student gets his improved documentation by August/Sep 2012, it
means that Wheezy + Essex combo will be well documented, and well
tested. It will let Debian achieve really stable release.
Alternative wishes:
+develop cross-platform desktop GUI image uploader for glance/swift
(in python-pyside / Qt4), but this task is likely too big for most
students for 2 months time frame.
This feature, while a good long-term idea, does not bring immediate
benefits for the stability of OpenStack-Essex-for-Wheezy.
Any other realistic wishes, that an average student could achieve in 2 months ?
What do you think ?
