8 turned out to be a patch to ignore the FS while resizing. While this
might be useful for some cases, I would prefer to detect the fs and not
resize when the fs is larger than the end size. I vote for not
including this patch
9 seems to be a strange partition state from the reporter. I think the
solution is to unset the swap flag in parted.
