This is pretty similar to the changes to msdos, the concerns I have
about it are that it changes the behavior of the *_set_system function,
and read_dasd and I prefer to get the opinion of someone from IBM on
this before merging it.

If merged as is, with the change in *_set_system behavior, it will of
course fit right in with the msdos changes and bumping the API.
