Well, 3 of the 4 are closed because the issue was fixed; and probably the 
4th should be closed as well (which I'm doing now).

IMO what you are running into is a *different* issue. The error message is 
a rather generic error that can happen in a variety of scenarios.

It's also possible that it's a regression that was introduced fairly 
shortly before the Lenny release with the changes Jérémy committed for 
RAID and LVM, but that's just a guess.
