[Pkg-alsa-devel] Bug#279157: Similar MIDI issue, same time frame

I installed a 2.6 kernel around the same time and MIDI stoped working for
all ALSA apps. Since it was still working for OSS apps I figured it had
something to do with the way discover or hotplug are autoloading the
module. After some looking around I noticed that all the modules needed
for MIDI were loading except for one. This left me with a state like so:

not-faith:~# amidi -l
Device Name
hw:0,0 M Audio Delta 1010LT MIDI

Which shows the hardware port as recognized but...

not-faith:~# aconnect -i -o
client 0: 'System' [type=kernel]
    0 'Timer '
    1 'Announce '

Which shows that it doesn't see the software ports.

A 'modprobe snd_seq_midi' and adding snd_seq_midi to /etc/modules is a
work around.
