I guess you talk about build-depends. It's not really such a burden, at
least for us... it makes alsa-lib transitions to testing a bit more
complicated, but the release guys know how to deal with it.

Hmm, we got a few user requests to package it before we created the
libasound2-plugins package. Is it really so useless?
