Here is my test:
6,19s user 0,27s system 2% cpu 5:08,02 total, running mpg321 03-G3_Live_in_Denver-Joe_Satriani-Starry_Night.mp3
0,09s user 0,05s system 0% cpu 5:08,10 total, running mplayer 03-G3_Live_in_Denver-Joe_Satriani-Starry_Night.mp3
This points to mpg321, doesn't it?
