The problem is that alsamixer doesn't show all the options we have to change in the mixer. That's the screen from gnome-alsamixer which enable the mic: http://student.agh.edu.pl/~gonciarz/temp/gnome_alsa_mixer.png I've loaded snd-hda-intel with model=hp option. Robert
