I have several questions about a few of the changes mentioned in the
changelogs:

alsa-tools:

  [ Elimar Riesebieter ]
  * Added alsa-tools-gui.postrm, alsa-tools-gui.postinst, qlo10k1.postinst and
    qlo10k1.postrm to call update-menus

What's going on here that dh_installmenus isn't doing its job?


alsa-driver:

  * modprobe-post-install support removed. (closes: #518242)
    - Added udev to Depends of alsa-base

Do we really want to do this? Joey Hess asked for just the contrary not
long ago, didn't he?

alsa-utils:

  * Get rid of asoundconf. (closes: #505089, #433134)
    - Remove python dependencies (closes: #508563)

Why? How does this close 505089? #433134 can be fixed if we just sync a
bit with Ubuntu. Honestly, I'd love to get more help from them, but I'll
look into doing this myself tomorrow.

Please comment on the three changes, specially the last one is puzzling.
