$ grep -A 5 calls-updatemenus /usr/share/lintian/checks/menus.desc

See http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=518242

I've testet with four different soundcards. It works ;) In that case
we need udev in install dependencies to load the drivers autmagic. I
left only the blacklist and the prioritylist in modprobe.d. We need feed
back (bugs) from users wether it works or not. This change is
reversible.

I don't care what Ubuntu packagers are doing. From my point of
view there is no cooperation and what I noticed is: asoundconf is
totally buggy. If you have python skills fix it. The exmark at card
definition has to be removed. Especially I asked Martin Pitt to
help. But no response, though.

http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/pkg-alsa-devel/2008-November/006267.html

asoundconf doesn't detect the digital cards like the aoa ones of
PPC. And, by all my respect, how do you think UBUNTU can contribute
on all the 11 (12) Debian platform ports?

Last: I don't see a reason to use asoundconf. Users can read
/usr/share/doc/alsa-base/README.Debian.gz to learn on how to
configure multiple cards. Yes, this docu has to be optimized ;)

Jordi, I get tired to work on alsa packages. I do most of the bug
management. There is no cooperation from the, sorry, so called
"developer group". Where are they? It is just frustating me to do a
big, maybe a good job and get no feedback... Prepared packages are
waiting 3 or more weeks for uploading and else. So what? I love
Debian and OSS but I am not a slave.

Obviously the human brain works like a computer.
Since there are no stupid computers humans can't be stupid.
There are just a few running with Windows or even CE ;-)
