As told before: run alsamixer within a terminal or console and check
all controls. There are some like "mic boost" or "Docking Mic Boost"
which can cause crackling sounds. Please note that those depend on
your sundcard.

In most cases the bug is sitting in front of the screen. If this

Check your mixer settings. Else boot a live-cd and check wether the
`bug` persists.
Sorry, I can't reproduce and can't help at this point.
