[Pkg-alsa-devel] Moving debian alsa packaging to git?

Hi guys,
Just wondering whether any thought has been given to moving the alsa packaging over to git from svn? using git would allow much easier import of patches and releases from upstream, and of course all the other DVCS advantages. Nothing against SVN, just curious as to whether it has been considered.
