[Pkg-alsa-devel] ALSA 1.0.24 installation

Hello
I'd like to install new ALSA on my i686 Debian Squeeze system to see if it
solves some problems I have with current installation. What's the best way
to do it?
There are Ubuntu packages available, is it safe to just install them via
dpkg? Or would it be better to build them from official source?
