Fine, you found a fix ;-) But please do as root:

# echo "options snd-hda-intel model=imac27_122" >> /etc/modprobe.d/imac_local.conf

as alsa-base.conf will be overwritten on each update of alsa-base.

You checked all your mixer settings? snd-hda-intel normaly
autodetects all its flavors.

It would be somewhat inordinately to respect every flavor of
every soundcard from Debian's distribution. We maybe will note your
fix in Debians README on next upload.
