Package: libasound2-data
Version: 1.1.7-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

The usb-audio interface on my Dell USB-C WD15 dock stopped working
recently. The immediate symptom is the device gone from pulseaudio,
with:
E: [pulseaudio] module-alsa-card.c: Failed to find a working profile.
E: [pulseaudio] module.c: Failed to load module "module-alsa-card"
(argument: "device_id="1" name="usb-Generic_USB_Au
dio_200901010001-00"
card_name="alsa_card.usb-Generic_USB_Audio_200901010001-00"
namereg_fail=false tsched=yes fixed_
latency_range=no ignore_dB=no deferred_volume=yes use_ucm=yes
card_properties="module-udev-detect.discovered=1""): in
itialization failed.

After *much* debugging, I stumbled across
https://github.com/edrose/dell-dock-audio-fix/issues/2#issuecomment-440420105

Apparently the device was renamed in the kernel, and
/usr/share/alsa/ucm/Dell-WD15-Dock/HiFi.conf needs to be updated
accordingly (s/WD15Dock/Dock/). I can confirm this change (followed
by pulseaudio restart) fixed things immediately for me.
