AFAIK we've always tracked the full source tree in bzr. But before the
switch to Git we did not use --upstream-vcs-tag so the upstream
detailed history was merged into the packaging branch as a single
big commit such as b81a810. I guess that's what you're referring to.

Yeah, I've learned about your Git tree after I had completed this
work. Too bad we did not communicate earlier. Perhaps some of you
could subscribe to the pkg-apparmor-team list? :)
