more problems here - I had to downgrade to

texlive-base_2018.20181116-1_all.deb
texlive-fonts-recommended_2018.20181116-1_all.deb
texlive-latex-base_2018.20181116-1_all.deb
texlive-latex-recommended_2018.20181116-1_all.deb
texlive-pictures_2018.20181116-1_all.deb

to make the docs build, so I did a binary upload.

I'm not sure what the exact problem is, I'll try to pin down the exact
problematic package.

Additionally, the texlive maintainer got "demoted" from DD to DM, I
doubt that will do his motivation any good...
