I've encountered no problems.

Disk usage in /var/lib/postgresql was:

before: 3880000 kB
peak:   7256264 kB
after:  3742376 kB

/var/cache/dbconfig-common/backups needed 1,5GB for the backup dump.

New and old backups can be restored.

I'll prepare it for unstable.
