updates?

Dear Jim,

thank you for indicating the change to a 5.8 version as a recommendation. It
must be a fairly recent change. Our experimental branch can indeed work on
the 5.8 sources. Technically there is not much hindering us from an update, I
personally would like to see a bit more of a delta though between 5.8.15 as
the recommended and the development version at 5.8.16. Good that I am not the
one deciding on it :-)

With a frozen testing to become stable for rather quite some time to come, so
I presume, and 5.8.15 not being acceptable for etch as it is more than a tiny
overviewable little bug fix to 5.4.x, all thoughts about a nearish update are
mute. We could only update to experimental. This also means that 5.4 will be
part of the next stable release of Debian.

Many thanks for your interest, keep crunching, with best regards

Steffen
