Dear Frank,

please amend the text and forward it to David,

Dear David,

we Debian/Ubuntu maintainers thank you for your initiative. We have indeed
also thought about a better integration of your upstream web site with our
work and much appreciate your kind offer.

On the download page at the currently only a single big "button" awaits us.
Next to that it could read, reusing some text of yours:

BOINC is readily integrated with many Linux Distributions

For most users of the here listed Linux Distributions, our client is not
required to be installed separatedly. This has extra benefits

separate user account for BOINC

automated start at reboot

regular updates together with operating system software

for developers: instant access to complete build environment and automated
build process

more concise error reports

As user of any of the following Linux distributions please follow these
distribution-specific instructions:

Debian

Distribution as part of the distribution since Debian Etch. Users of
earlier version should refer to Debian Backports (backports.org). The
packages are:

boinc-client

boinc-manager

The client is started right upon the package's installation. Start

boincmgr
to configure the assignment to projects. To stop the
client run
/etc/init.d/boinc stop
. Feel free to read through
http://wiki.debian.org/pkg-boinc to learn more about the develoment of the
package.

Ubuntu

...?...
The Ubuntu packages share the code with Debian, also use boincmgr to configure
the running client.

With kind regards in the name of the Debian BOINC contributors

Frank Thomas and Steffen Moeller
