Bug#489299: boinc-client: SSL doesn't work, and so WCG project can't transfer data.

Hi,
no idea what is wrong. I just installed boinc-client and boinc-manager
and the download from WCG just works. Admittedly, I do have such a
ca-bundle file,
moeller at notebook:~$ locate ca-bundle
/usr/share/apps/kssl/ca-bundle.crt
/var/lib/boinc-client/ca-bundle.crt
which is probably installed by some post-install script or so
moeller at notebook:~$ dpkg -S /var/lib/boinc-client/ca-bundle.crt
dpkg: /var/lib/boinc-client/ca-bundle.crt nicht gefunden.
and a symbolic link to what the bug reported suggested.
moeller at notebook:~$ ls -l !$
ls -l /var/lib/boinc-client/ca-bundle.crt
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 34 24. Mär 15:43
/var/lib/boinc-client/ca-bundle.crt -> /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt
I was first slightly irritated about that symbolic link being dated from
March. It seems like I have this on my machine for a while already, but
having tested this on another machine, I can report that this symbolic
link was indeed newly created by boinc-client.
