Another reason maybe parallel? (just a guess) (some buildds seem to use
this feature, eg. i386 [1])

I have tried parallel build for several times recently (just on my own
computer, amd64), with some failures. But no failure when parallel=1. If
you could reproduce this, I suggest we disable it for now.
