I'd be very much willing to handle this, first of all because you did all the
work thus far, and furthermore also because it's necessary to get one's hands on
the stuff to be able to handle it in the future.
However, this would be my first upload to security, so I might be doing
something very wrong, and I'd thus ask for some guidance. Sorry if those
questions sound stupid to you.
Is the following sequence of steps ok?
- checkout the etch-security branch
- build and sign with myself set as the maintainer on the dpkg-buildpackage
command line
- upload
