FYI, here are my relevant post RC1 packaging diffs.  The changelog won't
apply exactly, but is included for reference.  I didn't do anything with
0.96 final yet.  I'm waiting for the Debian upload to make sure we get an
md5sum matched tarball in Ubuntu.
