[Pkg-clamav-devel] faketime in clamav

Hi Andreas,

I'm about to remove faketime from the clamav package. It was introduced
for the "ReproducibleBuilds" goal but it is not really helping. I got
this
|faketimeing is a hack we dont want to use the reasons are explained in
|the wiki
from Holger Levsen. I was asking for an exception (for the __DATE__
macro) since faketime is used but got this instead. I did not find a reason
in the wiki only suggestions to use for instance in
TimestampsInPDFGeneratedByLaTeX :) Maybe #778462 is something.

It is not helping for ReproducibleBuilds as you can see in [0]. They build the
package with -Werror=date-time and the __DATE__ macro turns into an error so it
fails the test.
Anything from your side not doing so?
