Hello, wonderful Debian Clojure maintainers! For those celebrating, hope
you've had a restful and peaceful holidays.

Here are some regular updates, per IRC discussions and ongoing work.

Leiningen has been uploaded and accepted into unstable! It should
migrate down to testing in the next few days. I strongly encourage you
to install and test it :)

I ran into some unexplained performance issues with
dh_strip_nondeterminism on the leiningen uberjar. For now (since Clojure
code that's AOT-compiled does not appear to produce reproducible builds
anyway), we've turned that off in the leiningen build. It's unclear if
this is another instance of the behaviour that we saw in #877418. [1]

The Alioth migration has begun, now that Salsa is in beta testing as a
git.debian.org replacement. [2] I've begun importing repos from
pkg-clojure on Alioth to their new home on Salsa. It appears a little
unstable at the moment, so I think we should continue pushing new
development to Alioth until Salsa emerges from beta, but it has been a
positive experience thus far.

I've created a wiki page for our Alioth migration. [3] Outside of git
repos, we will also need to migrate this mailing list. I'll look into
getting that done in the next couple of weeks.

I'll close with a shoutout to spwhitton, who's working on packaging
CIDER for emacs. Yay! Thank you!

Cheers,

- e
