My thinking was based mainly on the current Qt documentation at
http://doc.trolltech.com/4.5/supported-platforms.html , which does not
include Linux on much of anything non-Intel other than ARM. Not even
for unofficial "community" support. Currently, Bibletime needs Qt. I
think it needs Qt 4.x, for some value of x I am not sure of ... does it
need 4.4?

I should have checked the older packages in Debian, you are quite right.
Somewhat surprisingly, everything they need does seem to be available
on older CPU architectures. And apparently, much of Qt4 has been
ported, too, despite what the Trolltech web page I read says about lack
of support... so maybe BibleTime 2.0 *will* work on m68k or mips after all!
