2.0alpha needs 4.4. Maybe 4.5 is too new to have even community support?

Ok. I suppose they support *officially* only few important 
architectures, but because they work hard to be cross-platform, there 
should be no reason why Qt doesn't work on other architectures, too.

And I guess the same goes with Gnome/Gtk and Xiphos, too. But this is 
all guesswork, maybe even more than your guesses. And also off-topic, 
even though interesting :)
