I'm afraid I don't even use kio-sword anymore, and as I'm the sole
author and contributor, that probably means it will never get updated
to KDE4. (I could say "when I get time", but it is currently so far
down the priority list, that is equivalent to "never"). If someone
steps up with patches etc, fine.

In terms of technical needs, I think it should work fine in Konqueror
in KDE4, it doesn't depend on any KDE3 only technologies. It needs
updating to use Qt 4 though, and the old autotools build scripts
(generated by KDE3 dev tools) need replacing with cmake or something.
There may be some other smallish changes due to KDE API changes, I
don't know.

All of the above is too much work for me, given the fact that I don't
use it anymore. No-one has offered me any patches, so I don't think
there is likely to be anyone willing to take over the project. If
there is, I will happily hand over commit bits for the Subversion
repository etc.

Regards,

Luke
