[pkg-cryptsetup-devel] Bug#556591: cryptsetup: need compatibility with devicekit-disks instead of dmsetup

Package: cryptsetup
Version: 2:1.1.0~rc2-1
Severity: important
Some recent upgrade caused devicekit-disks to be installed, I think maybe
something triggered gnome-disk-utility to be installed. devicekit-disks
suggests cryptsetup, but cryptsetup depends on dmsetup which conflicts
with devicekit-disks, so cryptsetup was removed.
This caused update-initramfs to fail to install the right modules for
booting the stock kernel with luks partitions. It started boot and said
"Loading, please wait..." and stalled forever.
After reinstalling cryptsetup and updating the initrd images, it booted.
If utopia means using devicekit-disks, should cryptsetup be made compatible,
and depend on either dmsetup or devicekit-disks?
Thanks.
