thanks again. could you test whether the bug is reproducible with the
cryptsetup binary from debian package 2:1.1.1-1? you find the package at
http://snapshot.debian.org/package/cryptsetup/2%3A1.1.1-1/.
the configure flags for cryptsetup compilation changed between debian
packages 2:1.1.1-1 and 2:1.1.2-1. If 1.1.1-1 already fails, I guess this
is an upstream bug, if 2:1.1.1-1 still works fine, the bug might relate
to the confflags changes.
