Well the only true reason I see for patching is to provide the patch to
upstream for later inclusion. A second reason (of much less importance
IMHO) would be that we would notice the inclusion of those manpages in a
new upstream release by a build failure (patch tries to create existing
files) instead of having to look for those manpages manually.

Thanks a lot for your work. I hope to be able to work on the package a
bit in early august (after tackling the existing bugs in the cyrus-imapd
package and doing some personal stuff, that is).
