Hi,
I probably ought to have filed a bug.. but I never remember the right
URL / formatting!
Gerbv 2.4.0 is available here:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/gerbv/files/
https://sourceforge.net/projects/gerbv/files/gerbv/gerbv-2.4.0/gerbv-2.4.0.tar.gz/download
(Along with checksums etc.. from the same place).
2.4.0 is mostly a bug-fix release after 2.3.0, but the developers
decided not to release a micro-update as they don't have the time to
keep maintaining old stable-branches, and it was felt that doing a
micro-release might imply that. 2.4.0 also features a couple of minor
feature additions as well as the host of bug fixes.
Not that this argument is usually particularly persuasive to Debian
devs, but I'm hoping to get a feature-freeze exception for gerbv 2.4.0
to go into Ubuntu Lucid.
As such.. if it were possible to introduce the gerbv-2.4.0-1 package
without major upheaval to its packaging, that would help me make a case
for the feature freeze exception. (I have to provide diffs etc..).
Best regards,
