Would it be possible for you to provide a patch for the Debian package
explaining in more details what you are proposing?

I do not quite understand what you are trying to accomplice nor how to
get there.

Note, I am just a "drive by" Debian developers having a look at an old
bug report, hoping to bring a solution forward, and not one that know
much about yosys internals.
