At the command line, I can type

ldapsearch -D "cn=mail,dc=ldap,dc=adelix,dc=com" -x -w querymail -b
"dc=ldap,dc=adelix,dc=com" "(mail=neil.briscoe at ldap.adelix.com)" cn

and receive the following output.

# extended LDIF
#
# LDAPv3
# base <dc=ldap,dc=adelix,dc=com> with scope subtree
# filter: (mail=neil.briscoe at ldap.adelix.com)
# requesting: cn
#

# neilus, ldap.adelix.com
dn: cn=neilus,dc=ldap,dc=adelix,dc=com
cn: neilus

# search result
search: 2
result: 0 Success

# numResponses: 2
# numEntries: 1

I'm trying to code a query in an Exim router and I'm having a hard time
working out how to set the value of filter.

I've tried placing the string "(mail=${local_part}@${domain})" in
various parts of my query, but nothing seems to set the filter value.

Anyone got any hints on this?

TIA

Regards
Neil
