Dear Exim experts,
since about a week some messages are delayed Others seem to have the
same problem [1].
1. Messages sent by myself to a Web.de address over my server with Exim
running, results in several hours delay. Looking at `/var/log/mainlog*`
I am seeing the following.
2012-04-10 21:16:58 1SHiQX-000803-MZ SMTP error from remote mail server after RCPT TO:<user.name at web.de>: host mx-ha02.web.de [213.165.67.120]: 450 Requested mail action not taken: mailbox unavailable

This has happened to over half of the messages sent since a week.
Some sort of greylisting seems to be in place, but resending it every
half hour appears to confuse the Web.de mail servers. Why it works after
the fourth, sixth or whatever try is also unclear.
2. Yesterday also a message sent from the Web.de account to myself was
delivered late.

But seeing this problem I am thinking they have technical problems or
probably screwed up big time again with their server configuration. The
header shows clearly that the delay happened between their servers
<moweb002.kundenserver.de> and <fmmailgate04.web.de>.
Are both problems unrelated and the second just a temporary technical
error?
Do you have any suggestions? Best thing would be Web.de staff would read
this list and fix it. ;-)
Should another retry interval be used to not confuse the Web.de
greylisting as pointed out in [1]?
Thanks,
Paul
