[pymvpa] How do people get the preprocessed .nii.gz before throwing it into the pyMVPA?

 Dear pyMVPA experts,

I'm wondering how people end up getting the preprocessed bold.nii.gz
files in order to use it for pyMVPA.
Till now, I've been using analyze format in SPM, but I think I need to
consider using FSL (or AFNI, Freesurfer, etc) for preprocessing if it makes
my life easier.
I attempted do the preprocessing using 4D nifti in SPM5, but apprently, it
didnt' work. So, below are two options that come up to my mind in order to
make the data files ready for myMVPA.

 1) preprocessing anlyze format files using SPM5 -> convert analyze into 3D
nifti in FSL -> convert 3D nifti into 4D nifti in FSL

 2) preprocessing directly in the FSL using 4D nifti (not sure if FSL can
automatically separate it into 3D nifti) -> Done!

Any recommendation or advice would be greatly appreciated.

 Thanks,
 YSL
