Please file a wishlist bug against fglrx-driver so that this thread does
not get lost so easily.
And add URLs to all the things you mentioned above.
Does the license allow redistribution?

PS: I managed to get CodeXL running last year via ssh tunneling in an
OpenSuSE environment ... but haven't touched it again after showing that
this is possible :-)
