I wonder why he choses this font and not a font from ttf-nafees or so.

As Nicolas said, he's getting this one to Debian and I'll be sponsoring it.
Maybe a better choice. FWIW, ttf-dejavu is also embedding Arabic glyphs.

Should the arabic-desktop task install all Arabic or Arabic-related
fonts? (that's OK with me, but what is the "official" policy?)
