Yes its team maintained but I thought it is better to get consent from
original maintainer of the package before messing around with packaging
doing this major change.

OK I will wait for a consensus. Additionally I would like to move
fonts-android to Git.

Again one more questions will be if new package is going to be named
fonts-android what will become to current fonts-droid source package?
Simply rename it?
