I have requested membership of the fonts group on alioth a while ago but 
haven't heard anything back since then.

I've also created a package for the Fell type fonts, which I'd like to move to 
alioth if there is interest: https://github.com/ruediger/fonts-im-fell

The Fell types are font types from the 17th century.  They are known for their 
old-style irregularities.  The fonts are released under SIL Open Font License, 
v1.1 as well and I'm not aware of similar fonts being packaged for Debian.

I would continue working on the package.  But I'd appreciate if someone with 
more experience in Debian packaging could assist me.  I'm rather new to all of 
this.
