Update (when bug#701478 is done): ...encourage to consider use either 
Open Sans or Noto.  The former being (arguably) the successor of Droid 
largely identical but optimized for web and print use (where Droid was 
optimized for low-res screen use), while the latter is likely having 
widest Unicode coverage.
