I was a little surprised to see the suggestion to remove this package.
The Debian project requested that the upstream fix a license issue [1]
in January and that fix was made in February.
I understand what you are saying about the maintainer. Indeed, that is
why I was invited to Debian, it was an invitation from Daniel to
maintain (instead of him) the SIL NRSI fonts in Debian that I am on this
list.
Thank you for offering to build a libteckit package. I am sorry to say I
don't see how that would help my group, as the issue we are having with
teckit is the file /usr/bin/teckit_compile is in both the teckit package
on PSO and in Debian/Ubuntu. Which is why the previous maintainer of
TECkit and I introduced a diversion for our own internal package. You
can see that work at [2].
