[Pkg-fonts-devel] missing letters

Hi Claus-Dieter,

font substitution is managed by fontconfig, in your case more precisely 
by the rules in the file "/etc/fonts/conf.d/30-metric-aliases.conf".

Anyway, before you start mangling around with these mostly non-trivial 
rules, could you please check if your issue mitigates once you remove 
the "fonts-urw-base35" package?

Alternatively, does the situation improve if you install the 
"fonts-texgyre" package?
