The kde bug itself is long-since reported in
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=525599  There are
links at the end of it; https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=303627
discusses the current "solution".

But that doesn't change the original comment that it would have been
nice to know the origin of the error message.
