A likely workaround: ensure the accountsservice package is installed
(and also the policykit-1 package, but according to reportbug you already
have that).
This would ideally not be a hard dependency, but the integration with
libmalcontent (parental controls) fails closed in some situations where
it should probably fail open. I've contacted upstream.
If necessary I'll either add a dpkg/apt-level dependency or revert the
addition of the libmalcontent feature, but I'd prefer to make the parental
controls support genuinely entirely optional, so that accountsservice
and policykit-1 continue to not be required.
