Plans for a Poppler transition?

Hi,

I see some new uploads of Poppler have been done to experimental.
Thanks for that!

The newest version of Poppler, 21.10.0, has some features I'm
interested in. In particular, it adds support for PDF signing to the
'pdfsig' tool. I would love to write an autopkgtest to exercise this
functionality.

I couldn't find a transition tracking bug, so I was wondering what the
game plan is for doing a transition in the future? I'd be glad to help
build reverse dependencies and track down FTBFS issues as I did during
the last transition.

Please let me know if a game plan for handling the next Poppler version
is in the works.

Sincerely,
John
