Oh, sorry. you're right, I mixed things. The latest version is 0.0.8,
released on Feb, 11 2006. Debian currently ships a cvs snapshot from sep
2004.

the new tarball looks quite different to whats currently available. At
the first glance, you're right. They seem to not use library versioning.
Let's talk to them about that.
